The Center for Eating and feeding Disorders Research (CEDaR) at Mental Health Center Ballerup, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital, is looking to appoint a dedicated psychologist post-doctoral researcher to support ongoing clinical research projects.




The position and tasks

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing clinical research projects at CEDaR, with a particular focus on projects involving patients (e.g. trauma and eating disorders, treatment studies). The candidate needs to speak Danish at a minimum of C1 level.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing a study focusing on trauma and eating disorders
  • Conducting clinical assessments
  • Leading recruitment of study participants
  • Leading data analysis and preparation of research outputs (e.g. reports, manuscripts)
  • Collaborating closely with clinicians and researchers across projects
  • Contributing to general research activities within CEDaR
  • Developing study protocols and ensuring maintenance of good practice in research
  • Managing junior staff
The position will involve direct contact with patients and requires a high level of professionalism, structure, and sensitivity in clinical interactions.

In this position you will supervise junior colleagues (PhD students, research assistants, interns, etc.). You will therefore be able to develop your research management skills as the next step in your career. You will report to the Head of CEDaR (Prof Nadia Micali).



Environment

The Center for Eating and feeding Disorders Research (CEDaR) is a multicultural and multidisciplinary team recently set up with a large portfolio of grants, across epidemiological, genetic, neuroimaging, and clinical intervention studies in feeding and eating disorders. We are a dynamic, collaborative, and international team, that is rapidly growing. The unit has several international collaborations with the UK, US, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland.

Research in eating disorders is a highly prioritized research area of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark. We have a strong commitment to perform research at the highest international level with the aim of providing new insights into what causes eating disorders and better treatments for patients.



Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated and reliable psychologist with a strong interest in clinical research and hands-on assessment work.



Essential qualifications include:

  • A master’s degree in psychology
  • A PhD or equivalent in psychology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Danish and English
  • Strong interest in eating and feeding disorders
  • Experience with clinical assessment methods, including diagnostic interviews
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in managing others
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team
  • Danish speaker


Desirable qualifications:

  • Prior experience in eating disorders, either in clinical or research settings


Conditions

The position will be offered at 30-37 hours per week, initially for one year and is available at the earliest convenience.



Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisations.

The position is in accordance with best Danish labour practices, including a 37-hour work week, six weeks of paid vacation per annum, funded parental leave, matched pension contributions, enrolment in national healthcare, and labour union representation.
