This position is for our client in Ballerup.

 

Our client currently have an exciting opportunity for an NPI Engineer to join their Digital Identity & Security (DIS) team in Denmark.

They have a personalization center located in Ballerup which specialises in personalising various documents, smart cards and digital solutions for the Danish population and for this purpose have a modern production infrastructure, which you will be trained to maintain and administrate.

To be considered for this position you must be able to be obtain Danish national security clearance.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the plant manager, on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in:

Production infrastructure support

  • Delivering effective incident support to their Production Team for any Personalization, Work stream and Infrastructure issues
  • Supporting and monitoring all data processing activities which include administration, analysis and reporting of file failures
  • Administration of the production database when required
  • Automating the data management and data flow on the production servers
  • Server and network configuration to troubleshoot application issues, ensuring data security is maintained at all times
  • Ensuring production systems are up and running at all times and fixing issues when they occur.

Project Management

  • Customer products change management – deploying simple change requests to large customer product portfolio changes within the production environment
  • Configure automatic production machines setups, as well as data management changes on the production server / database systems to integrate the new products
  • Manage changes to deploy new technologies in production when necessary – this can include large projects when significant changes need to be deployed in the infrastructure
  • Develop / modify customer reports indexed on database or production files data
  • Develop / modify profiles for dynamic document printing using printing industry software such as PreS Connect

Communication

  • Communicate effectively with the site manager, production manager, quality and business teams about issues and projects
  • Document your job with procedures to describe the development and configuration changes you are performing

Your profile

  • Have an engineering or technical degree – preferably in Computer Science or IT Engineering
  • Possess a technical background within industrial production and/or software engineering environment
  • Have an analytical mind-set and be able to solve complex technical problems and demonstrate technical curiosity
  • Be organised, autonomous, resilient and able to respond effectively under pressure
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of LEAN methodologies to drive process improvements, quality and overall operational efficiency
  • Have demonstrable experience working within (and maintaining) Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure adherence to targets and overall service delivery commitments
  • Have the ability to manage projects in a production environment – advantageous
  • Be fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English languages and be a good communicator, collaborator, and influencer to build relationships with key stakeholders
