We are looking for a German speaking Project Lead and Sales Support, with a solid commercial mindset. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end projects in the Special Account department at Toms. Key customers are major German retailers, and you will drive exciting collaborations with them, as well as internally at Toms, on customer tailor-mades and private label products.

We are experiencing strong demand within the DACH area Special Account solutions, based on our well known premium chocolate products. As part of a newly established team in Ballerup, you will be responsible for project management across Toms’ projects. 

The position

It’s all about commercial project management. In the Special Account team our products are tailored to the specific customers’ needs which entails strong need for coordination from the customers to Toms’ existing New Product Development process over to order fulfillment colleagues. You will be project and product owner of the specific customer tailored solutions in close collaboration with colleagues within the team and across Toms and at the customer. Here solid communication skills are key and you need to thrive bringing structure and overview to the process.

This includes tasks such as:

  • Leading cross-functional to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Secure that customer input is efficient implemented in the NPD process – secure strong customer collaboration with different stakeholders.
  • Communicating project progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders and escalate if needed.
  • Managing project documentation and ensuring that it is accurate and up to date.
  • Carry out the new strategy & key account focus within Special Accounts & Private Label.
  • Collaborating with the sales team and Key Account Managers to identify new business opportunities and support the development of proposals and presentations.

Your profile

The ideal candidate might have a bachelor’s degree within marketing & business, or a similar field. Furthermore, you hold +5 years of professional experience with project management, and preferably you have experience with solution-based sales, e.g.: tailor-mades and private label products – preferably within the food industry. 

To succeed in the role, it is imperative that you have excellent project management & collaboration skills, in combination with both time-management and communication skills. You are able to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities, while still maintaining a strong attention to detail. A strong commercial mindset is key, and you are structured and analytical in both qualitative and quantitative data and able to translate findings into solid plans and executions.

Finally, it is a clear advantage if you are a German native and/or have experience working in Germany. You need to be at a high level in written spoken German. It is also imperative that you master the English language. Furthermore, cross-functional collaboration skills, i.e., with different departments as well as with external partners are imperative. It is essential that you possess solid communication skills, and that you are able to establish effective relationships and can collaborate across different departments locally as well as internationally.
